Lebanon is a cradle for the world. It has become a home, sometimes by default and at others by design, for people from across the region and with a huge range of different beliefs. These transitions have taken place against a backdrop of war. Some of these conflicts are theoretically resolved, others continue openly to this day. The result is that Lebanon is complex and insecure place where people respect the life choices others make, but feel that their own autonomy is under threat. This series explores the contemporary complexities of Lebanese society and the fragility of the country's peace.
